Information on the GREEN HOMES GRANT
The UK government are providing £2 billion of funding for the Green Homes Grant scheme.
£1.5 b is directly targeted at homeowners and £0.5 b to Local Authorities. The scheme will give over half a million homeowners the opportunity to upgrade their homes energy efficiency levels to assist in meeting the UK’s carbon neutral target by 2050.
The Voucher scheme is available to all homeowners and landlords with the government funding two thirds of any home improvement project which is covered in the scheme up to a maximum value of £5,000..

ADVICE FOR HOMEOWNERS
The government grants are available for homeowners and landlords and will be provided in the form of vouchers. The vouchers can then be used to purchase a range of energy efficiency upgrades split into primary measures and secondary measures. To enable the voucher, you must fund a primary measure before you can fund a secondary measure with any of the remaining money available
Primary Measures:
- Solid wall Insulation
- Internal wall insulation
- Park Homes insulation
- Underfloor insulation
- Loft insulation
- Room in Roof insulation
- Flat roofing
- Cavity wall insulation
- Low carbon heating, ground and air source heat pumps
Secondary measures
- Doors older than 2002
- Draft proofing
- First time secondary, double, or triple glazing
- Thermostatic control (smart)
- Insulation for heating system

The scheme starts on September 30th 2020 and runs to the end of March 2021.
