SWIGA to address Solid Wall Insulation Conference
The Solid Wall Insulation Guarantee Agency (SWIGA) will be addressing the Changeworks Solid Wall Insulation Conference in Edinburgh on 20th April.
With the Green Deal and the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) approaching, there is an increasing focus on insulating solid walled homes. Mark Weaver, Chairman of SWIGA, will aim to educate the conference visitors of the agency’s instrumental role in regulating the solid wall insulation industry by providing consumer protection and an independent 25 year guarantee for internal, external and hybrid wall installations carried out under the SWIGA framework by accredited installers.
The event, organised by sustainability charity Changeworks, will be exploring barriers, solutions and new approaches to insulating solid masonry walls in Scotland. The conference will bring together experts, researchers, practitioners and industry representatives to provide the latest information on both internal and external solid wall insulation.
SWIGA was launched this year to echo the safeguards offered by the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency which runs the 25 year guarantee available for Cavity Wall Insulation.
